OHV: DOFAW on the R-1 Recreational Permit Program
[ November 24, 2009; 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. ] Mr Irving Kawashima of the Hilo DOFAW office will make a presention regarding the status of the R-1 Recreational Permit Program. All OHV members are invited. Also any Hunter members interested are also invited to attend.
Upper Waiakea ATV/Dirt Bike Park
The Council has assigned the OHV Committee the responsibility for coordinating user participation in mamagement of the park.
R-1 Recreational Riding Permit Program
As most of you have heard, the R-1 Recreationa Riding Permit program is in jepardy due to illegal off-roading activities.
This is a very active project of the OHV Committee.

We recently took a trip to Puu Kanankaleonui for a photo survey. What we saw was shameful. Off-road driving and hill climbing by four wheel drives, UTVs, ATVs and motorcycles was evident. Check out some of our photos below.
